I think what “Get Real” means by “he destroyed entire cities” is in the context of Genesis 19:24, Sodom and Gomorrah. Their primary sin was the practice homosexuality and fornication (Gen 19:4-11). The biggest mistake we make in our modern sensibilities is attempt to make false equivocation, comparing sexual sin to say, stealing a candy bar or cheating on an exam. All are sin, but sexual sin carries far graver consequences to one's personal health, intimate thoughts and eternal soul. Pray for rescue, it no small trifle. While I would not agree with the crudity of Willie Nelson's quote, “Get Real” makes a valid argument. If by saying homosexuality is “the way that I am” or anything else short of sin, is to attempt to make God out to be a liar (1 John 1:8-10) and excuse the very sin that God calls an abomination (Lev 18:22 and 1 Cor 6:9). Jesus, when referring to Sodom and Gomorrah, said, “And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. 15 Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.” Jesus never overturned the judgment on the cities, rather he said, those that reject the proclamation of the kingdom of Christ, will suffer far greater judgment than did Sodom and Gomorrah. Pray for Jennifer Knapp. She has rejected Christ and embraced sin.

You just said all sorts of crazy things that I don't have time to respond to. The best was the “entire cities that were wrapped up in homosexuality.” bit. This shows me you really have nothing but a 2nd grade understanding of history or the historical context of stories in the Bible.

Conformity is great isn't it? Keep telling yourself that any and all sin is okay. That way, if you keep repeating it to yourself and others, it will change God's mind. In the words of Willie Nelson… “That Sh** ain't right, that sh** ain't right”. Question for you…. Can I explain away murder, rape, theft, dishonesty, etc the same way. Dude, God is unchanging. He destroyed entire cities that were wrapped up in homosexuality. Sin is sin is sin, no matter how you spin it.

I was on the gateway arch in 2003 and it was great. It is just impressiv what was build there. And the museum is worth a look.
